Counselling offers an opportunity to slow down and reflect upon what is happening in your life alongside another person. It is not about being given advice or fixed solutions, but about having the time and support to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences in an open, thoughtful and collaborative way.
At the centre of counselling is a therapeutic relationship through which greater understanding, connection and meaningful change can emerge. Through dialogue and reflection, it can become possible to approach difficult experiences with greater clarity and a renewed sense of yourself.
People come to counselling for many different reasons. It may be that you are wanting to:
- adjust to difficult or unexpected changes
- explore challenging relationships, past or present
- move beyond repetitive thoughts or patterns of behaviour
- connect more fully with your feelings or manage feelings that have become overwhelming
- understand and lessen experiences of anxiety, depression or loneliness
- develop the awareness and confidence to live more fully as yourself
The sessions are yours to bring whatever you wish.
Everyone is welcome.
